About Leap
Leap was set up by Jessica Lea, a registered learning disability nurse with almost 20 years experience in all things autism.
Alongside her work as founder of Leap, Jess also works full time as a community learning disability nurse in the NHS, a role which brings her great joy and pride. Jess also has lived experience of autism, having gone through the assessment process herself in 2021. Using her professional skills, and lived experience, Leap was born out of a desire to provide compassionate, person centered, and neuro affirming autism assessments to adults in the north west and beyond.
Jess works alongside other professionals to form the MDT side of all clinical decisions, so no diagnosis is ever made in isolation, meaning that all diagnoses are in line with NICE guidance and clinical ethics.
